Shoplet.com is a fast growing eCommerce company looking for a nimble web designer who has great HTML/CSS skills. You will have the opportunity to work with a large range of marketing materials from email marketing to affiliate advertising and will also play a critical role in the design of our website. We are looking for someone extremely creative who knows their stuff when it comes to coding. You will be joining a great creative team of 5 people who you will learn from and teach.
Requirements
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Great HTML, XHTML, CSS skills - must be able to hand-code and not just be able to use Dreamweaver
• Ability to efficiently debug code, especially across browsers (we hate IE6/7/8 but we have to code for it)
Great Pluses
• Knowledge of SEO, SEM, SMM, JS (MooTools, JQuery, etc.) , and PHP
• Brownie points if you have heard of these people or websites: Jakob Nielsen, Noupe, David Walsh, SmashingMagazine, Nettuts+, Soh Tanaka, Chris Coyier, Seth Godin, Matt Cutts
Additional Requirements
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and aggressive deadlines while working in fun, fast paced environment
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Detail oriented, self-starter with excellent understanding of commercial design
• Experience with typography and logo design for print and web
• Able to adapt existing web and print standards
• Understand sales and company objective and convert to targeted design campaigns
